Dog Sledding in Minnesota Cold is a relative term. What folks in Florida or Hawaii consider cold might be considered delightfully pleasant to an Alaskan. But most people will agree that MINUS 30 degrees F. (-34 degrees C.) is definitely cold -- really REALLY cold. When I signed up for a dog sledding trip in Minnesota in February 2003, I had not expected it to go to minus 30 degrees F, but it did!
